The summer holidays are dragging on and Harry Potter can't wait for the start of the school year. It is his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and there are spells to be learnt, potions to be brewed, and Divination lessons (sigh) to be attended. Harry is expecting these: however other quite unexpected events are already on the march...
My Rating: 5/5
Just when you think the series can't get any better, it does.
This book shows the new found maturity that the characters have. The plot gets darker and more complex.
You get a look at the wizardry world outside of Hogwarts with the other two schools. You also get the true sense of fear of what it means to other wizards that Voldemort is back.
The whole idea of the Tri-Wizard Tournament gave you a whole new Hogwarts experience.
The fight and reunion between Harry and Ron showed the extent of their friendship and their loyalty towards each other.
This book also has emotional aspects that the other three in the series never really had, like when Harry saw his parents.
